Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Good investment for the country, In years to come it will be worth far more than £12m and if it helps secure new trade deals then good stuff, Would rather the money be spent here rather than giving it to Pakistan for naff all

Don't agree medlocke could have got something fit for purpose for far less.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I think we do need assets like this to woo clients, customers and business partners.
Google does not entertain clients in a static in Rhyl do they?

No, they have this huge HQ in New York. Not a five bedroomed penthouse that is neither use nor ornament for wooing anyone except they impressionable.ancientnloyal wrote:I think we do need assets like this to woo clients, customers and business partners.

Who thinks anyone at the this level is impressed by the view?
We already have consular offices in New York. Total waste of money.

I'm less worried about this.
It's an asset not expenditure and an appreciating one at that.
The money has not gone out of the door, it's been effectively redistributed.
Rather this than spend on benefits for the lazy and "cba generation".

It is not the government's job to be into real estate speculation any more than it should be hoarding pots of gold in case the price of gold goes up.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 6:40 am I'm less worried about this.

cba generation? Can't be Arsed I presume you mean? Don't know any of those myself. I do know someone who lives from hand to mouth despite being in work full time due to low pay. You know the "just managing" the party you support was supposed to champion but hasn't.
