Wigan Warriors fans will have a new and improved Wigan Warriors Fan Zone to look forward to at Robin Park Arena for the 2020 season and beyond!
The Warriors Fan Zone has moved into the indoor running track and fans will be able to buy a pre-match and post-match pint at the Club’s matchday bar which is open from 5.30pm till 10.45pm.
The Warriors can also announce that they will open a matchday store situated at the front of the Robin Park Arena reception. The new store will be there for fans looking to snap-up their matchday merchandise! It is an indoor facility and much bigger than the previous store situated at the front the DW Stadium West Stand.
For the Fan Zone, Wigan Warriors legendary scrum-half Andy Gregory will be on hand to welcome fans to the bar and there will be live music from local up and coming acoustic artist Marcus Grimshaw.
Wigan have also teamed up with local events company TheBarCo to ensure it’s the perfect place to soak up the match day atmosphere before kick-off, and Wigan Warriors’ very own legendary skipper Sean O’Loughlin will be showcasing his new business venture “Roaming Spirit” serving Gin and Prosecco on the night too.
Wigan Warriors executive director, Kris Radlinski: “The move to Robin Park has been a game changer for the Club, not only are our players training in world class facilities, but it also gives us the opportunity to expand other parts of the business. Fan engagement is very much at the forefront of our minds and this new experience will give our loyal supporters the opportunity to get closer to us.
“It is wonderful that Andy Gregory will be game day host in there and he will mingle and chat and tell stories with our fans. We will also be naming the bar in there after one of our greats so keep your eyes peeled for that!!”
As ever, plenty of great food, drink and activities will be available to fans before kick-off of Wigan’s Betfred Super League fixture vs Warrington Wolves (7:45pm).
Fans will also have the chance to rub shoulders with some of the first team. So, whether you want to grab a selfie or bag a signature, the Fan Zone is certainly worth the visit.
