Can anyone make that better sticking to the rules of through Wigan academy, never played for anyone else before Wigan, 1998 onwards ?
Good one! My only questions would be what about Marshall at 5 and Partington at 8?
I'd have Jason Robinson on one of the wings and Oliver Gildart before Johnson.

Picked Prescott just because of his tenure and how solid he was. Lee Mossop pre NRL could be a better shout tbh.
I haven’t seen enough of Partington to select him in all honesty.

I think Charnley and Burgess in their prime are better than Marshall has been.

Depends whether we are picking based on their tenure as a whole at Wigan or based on a few great seasons in their prime.

Robinson played for Hunslet Parkside amateur team as a lad, possibly 14 or 15, but came through Wigan's juniors/academy.

Farrell and Charley were on loan iirc, probably same for Newton.

No Newton signed for Leeds and Wigan when hew was at Judes, Leeds took Wigan to court and won so Newton went to Leeds then Wigan signed him from there a few years later, Robinson played for Hunslt after Parkside so was a semi pro player in the lower divisions before signing for wigan, Charnley and farrell were both Academy players but went out on loan and played first team rugby for other clubs before breaking into the Wigan first team

It wasn't Wigan it was Warrington who Newton signed for as well as Leeds and Leeds took them to court to get his signature.
