what im trying to say is that if we paid him a massive signing on fee and kept his pay under 20k does it not count on the 20/20 rules?

Sorry, we all got that just having a laugh. He doesnt want to leave NRL and as one of the best and the best young player they will pull out all of the stops to keep him.

oh i know that but i was just wondering if that was possible or not with any player and just using him as an example

As far as i am aware this is legal immoral but legal You should ask a Leeds fan as allegedly this is how they have done business for the last couple of years.
Mrs Lam,Carny and others are much better at answering the legal questions i take a smallminded view and concentrate on the field rather than the backroom.

I think that opposition fans have made allegations along those lines against those clubs this year.
