he wont count on the cap as he hasnt played so can get all the dispensation, however if we have paid him off its still a chunk of money the club have had to pay, also doesnt say medically retired says hes left on medical grounds, dont know if they can be classed as the same thing as I think it was decided after him going to miss the entire season

I wish George all the best with his recovery and hope he gets back to full fitness. Shame we didn’t see the George we saw in his early years at south’s, he would of ripped it up in SL.
Makes you think about our medical staff though. He’s obviously had problems with his hip before we signed in, we all seemed to notice he wasn’t right from the start, I’m wondering how they didn’t notice something

Very sad to see a player of his class struggling in such a way. Realistically, at his age, he should have been leading our World Cup charge.

I have nothing but admiration for the way George has handled his situation,. It is obvious that this injury has had a massive impact on him both mentally as well as physically. He has got some difficult times ahead and I do hope he makes a full recovery from a personal point of view, if not a sporting perspective.

I’m not pointing the finger at anyone. I’m just saying it’s abit funny how nothing was picked up.
As it’s not like he played 10 games into the season and it happened, it seemed to be bothering right from the start of the season.
