BULLDOGS SET TO LOSE POWERFUL PROP

The Bulldogs are building nicely for next season but have all but lost impressive prop Renouf Atoni.

One of their best performers in the early rounds before being hit by injury, the 26-year-old Kiwi is unsigned for 2021 and isn't happy with the offer the club has made him.

The Cowboys and Cronulla have both shown interest in the 110 kilo hardman but the biggest offer to date has come from English club Wigan.

Wigan is having a horror season and wants to land a big fish to placate their massive supporter base in the UK.

The Dogs won't be able to match Wigan's offer - it's just a question of whether Atoni wants to pack his bags and move to the north of England.

Player of his calibre and at 26, can’t see it happening. Players like that don’t usually come over until the tail end of their career and yes, before someone says it, it has happened in the past.
