Re: Wire about to announce Williams.
Mysterious new signing takes to the Warrington field – is it George Williams?
George Williams’ long-running transfer saga appears to be over.
The English halfback looks to have been mysteriously snapped on the field at the Halliwell Jones Stadium – or else it is a very convincing lookalike.
The 26-year-old played 32 times for the Canberra Raiders over a season-and-a-half, but homesickness prompted a return to the UK, sending the rumour mill into overdrive.
But, has he been snapped here?

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Hope he flops as a wigan fan.
As a rugby fan good luck.

Re: Wire about to announce Williams.
The most painful days are yet to come. Given the relative strengths of our squads I don't expect we'll get to enjoy George losing to the Warriors for some time. I hope I can still enjoy our young forwards giving him plenty of stick though.

Best of luck to him
Re: Wire about to announce Williams.
Not happy with George joining wolves but can’t say I blame him.
Our club seems in abit of disarray at the moment.
Who would want a part of it

Announced
https://www.skysports.com/rugby-league/ ... r-contractThe 26-year-old has been training on his own since leaving the Raiders to stay in shape, but having not played for six weeks means he is unlikely to make his bow in Warrington's Super League clash with Hull Kingston Rovers this Sunday.
Instead, Williams' debut is likely to come away to Leigh Centurions on July 22 or possibly even the following week when the Wolves welcome Wigan to the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
"First of all, I'll be really excited to play for Warrington," Williams said about the prospect of playing his first Wolves game against his old club. "That will be huge for me, to represent this club.
I'm a better fan than you
Because I don't "Boo"!!!
Yes I bloody know transfer fees do not count on the salary cap for those illiterates that need it explaining to them because they assume everyone is as thick as they are

Re: Wire about to announce Williams.
Can shove the new challenge up his backside
Wigan gave him his shot, showed how much they valued him by making him a marquee then let him go to the NRL with a potential safety net.
I hope he is never made welcome back at the club again, he could have been a wigan great.
