Hopoate to Saints

The off-contract 29-year-old has played 175 NRL games — 115 of those with the Bulldogs — but has not been offered a new deal beyond this season by the club.
News Corp is reporting Hopoate has signed a two-year deal with Super League club St Helens.
Hopoate was linked to the Dragons in a swap deal for Dufty, but that has gone cold with reports he knocked back a one-year offer from the Red V to ink the Super League deal.
Hopoate has been a consistent member of the Doggies’ backline for the last six seasons, often having to swap between centre and fullback.
