It's dead easy to understand - it's his turn in the firing line!
The team hasn't been playing well, not helped by depleted squad. It's hard for any individual to shine, or be at their best in these circumstances. So you pick a name out of the hat...bingo! Let's have a go at Tommy/ Sam P/ Jake Bibby/ Partington/ Bateman/ Smithies....and so on and on and on.
Apparently it's called "being a supporter".

To get the best out of Tommy he needs to be paired with Hastings.

Nothing to do with it being his turn. He should have retired last year. Adds nothing to our attack. Does the odd hit. Been a great servant but gone on too long. He is blocking the progress of Smith as he should be learning from Hastings before he goes to the nrl. TL is one of the reasons why our attack is so poor.
Regarding tonight’s team don’t expect our attack to be great again with Hastings at fullback. Expect tonights game to be like the last 2 Huddersfield games boring. We are not going to improve all season with Lam in charge even when all our players return.

Sorry but tommy shouldnt be in the team….. not picking on him its just a fact…hanley should be fullback and hastings in the halves….. it really is that obvious

This blokes not got a clue. Smiths played a lot of minutes this year. Tommy isn’t blocking anything under current circumstances.

Not jumping on the band wagon BUT he isn’t very good in all fairness.
No kicking game, no creativity, no line breaks. Defence spot on for a half but in terms of attack, what does he honestly offer ?
