Adrian Lam has named an unchanged Wigan Warriors squad this week as the Cherry and Whites head to Hull on Saturday (3pm K.O.).

Wigan face Hull FC at the MKM Stadium, looking to bounce back following last weekend’s defeat to Warrington at the Dacia Magic Weekend.

Team news

Despite pulling out in the warm-up on Sunday ahead of the Warrington fixture, Oliver Gildart is named in the squad and has a chance of playing this Saturday. The centre was a late withdrawal last weekend after picking up a groin strain.

Jai Field is not named as he continues to recover from a minor groin strain.

Willie Isa will serve his final game of a four-match suspension for two separate penalty notices given by the RFL, following the Round 20 game against St Helens.

Injury news

Both Thomas Leuluai and Bevan French continue to recover from season-ending hamstring injuries.

Is Gildart picking which games to play, If so then just bin him off now, Really do hope That IL hasn't given him a golden ticket back to the club when he fails in the NRL

Get shut of that field now and get a real quality half back in for next season,he is proving to be a liability and in my view is a lightweight who can't defend, this is the view of suzies husband.

How?

Terminate his contract? - It would still count on the cap
Sell him? - Who is willing to buy?

How many games has Field played this season and has he had enough game time to establish himself?

Isn't he meant to be the half who has played wing and FB this season? What happens if he 100% fit next season, plays 30 odd games and rips it up at 6 with Miller/Smith/Gale/Flanagan etc?

Ohh let’s write this season off and let the lad start again next season for him,it’s clear he’s not going to regain full fitness this year so give him the time to get himself sorted.

Far too early to write the lad off just yet

Yes, of course it is. Personally, I don't have the highest hopes, but let's give him a fair shot anyway.

If he rips it up as you say he'll be back off to oz.

I’d like to see some of you lot automatically get back to normal after ripping your hamstring off the bone.

Dare say it some would do it and claim benefits for the rest of their lives.

He’s not only got to overcome the actual injury, but associated repercussions with his body but most of all, the mental side of it as well.

It’s easy to criticise in our ivory towers.
