You risk under valuing yourself if you low-ball too much. Next year's sponsor won't expect to pay 10x the amount of this years for example. And there's a knock on effect to your other sponsers too - if you accept 50K for a main shirt sponsor, the smaller shirt sponsors expect what they pay to be a fraction of that, and the ground sponsors the same. Its a balancing act between extracting what you think you are worth, what the market can bear and the demand. Clearly at the moment there is not much demand for RL sponsorship, improving TV figures should help with that in future.
