A very pleasing half. You never want to get carried away with a friendly performance but the areas that needed attention (yardage from our end, more experience in the pack, support runners, playing with attacking intensity etc) look to have had it, the new lads are all playing well and the team looks energised. A special mention to Thornley so far. Somebody described him as a money ball signing and they’re spot on. His yardage from our line has been extremely impressive and much needed.

Mago KPP and Thornley have been very good but overall it’s been a great all round TEAM performance. Nice to see we aren’t relying on one player to make things happen

May not get the headlines in this game but looked solid and confident. One of those players who seems to have a bit more time than others. Will be very influential IMHO could be the catalyst to unlock the potential of the play makers who struggled last year
