Updates on Ethan Havard and Iain Thornley.

Peet provides an update on Bevan French.

Wigan Warriors v Huddersfield Giants, Thursday 24th February (8pm K.O.)

In partnership with Blindspot Global, we have the latest from Head Coach Matt Peet on current injury concerns ahead of round 3.

Iain Thornley continues his recovery after leaving the field at Hull KR in Round 1 with a grade two syndesmosis. Ethan Havard also continues to make good progress in his return to full training, with Peet expecting Havard to be available in mid-March.

Bevan French landed back in the UK earlier this week and has started his fitness tests. Speaking on his return, Head Coach Matt Peet said: “We did a few physical assessments on him this morning (Tuesday) but with the fact that he had almost two days’ worth of travel we haven’t gone the whole hog, it’s been more about getting him back settled in the group today. As he catches up on his sleep we’ll intensify his practice and put some dates in place.’

Matt Peet named his 21-player squad for Thursday’s fixture against Huddersfield Giants.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
