Apply to be a matchday volunteer

Post by josie andrews »

As we embark on our 150 Year of Wigan Warriors, we are looking for volunteers to add to the Wigan Warriors strong workforce and to ensure our matchday experience is one to be remembered.

Volunteers have a vital part to play on a matchday, we have an incredible amount of work going on behind the scenes, and you can help us in many ways.

Wigan Warriors seeks volunteers that will assist match going fans in and around Robin Park Arena and the DW Stadium. We will have volunteers carrying out various roles e.g. fan zones, setting up the stadium and most importantly making sure our fans have the best experience possible when visiting on a matchday.

Who are we looking for?

What the Warriors are looking for:

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

A ‘can-do’ and friendly attitude

Willingness to work in teams and independently

Any customer service experience highly regarded

What the Warriors can give you:

Experience working with the capitals largest sporting organisation Local engagement with your community
2022 Warriors Parking passes for all games

Food and drink on game days

Ticket to all home games

Uniform

Applications from students and those seeking work experience in sports are strongly encouraged.

Warriors can provide references and other paperwork to help include this opportunity as part of your studies.

Please note that due to the high volume of applications each season, only successful candidates will be contacted. Please email emma.parkinson@wiganwarriors.com with any questions or to register your interest.

N.B. We would need you to be available for arrival from 5:30pm-6pm and available until the end of the match.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
