I don't want to speak for Dan but no, he said the "secret" signing isn't a needle mover whereas Thompson would be. I thought it would be some squad player but I don't know how highly Dan rates Jake Wardle to see him in that bracket.

If the 2023 recruitment is Cooper, Thompson, Wardle AND this "secret" signing then I'm chuffed to bits.

That may be true... but he is Wigan's top target and hasn't rejected our advances as of yet.
