Channel 4 has provided a major boost to Super League in 2022.
After signing a two-year contract at the beginning of the year, the broadcasting channel has gone from strength to strength in its coverage of the UK top flight.
Starting out with Leeds Rhinos against Warrington Wolves led by Australian host Adam Hills and a plethora of excited and enthusiastic pundits such as Danika Priim, Leon Pryce and Kevin Brown.
There was considerable excitement amongst – not just rugby league fans – but the general public, interested in seeing live rugby league on terrestrial television for the first time.
Super League can now confirm the broadcast selections for Round 23, with Channel 4 also set for a return to our screens.
The round kicks-off on Thursday 11 August with the Sky Sports cameras broadcasting from Halliwell Jones Stadium as Toulouse travel to face Warrington Wolves. The following night will see Danny McGuire looking to get one over his old team as Leeds Rhinos travel to Hull KR (8pm KO).
On Saturday 13 August Betfred Super League returns to Channel 4 (1pm KO) when Ian Watson takes his Huddersfield Giants side to the AJ Bell stadium to face his former employers, Salford Red Devils, with both teams looking to secure a play-off spot.
On Sunday 7 August Super League returns to free-to-air broadcasting as the Channel 4 cameras visit St Helens for the first time when they’ll broadcast St Helens v Castleford Tigers (1pm KO).

The final Super League fixture confirmed for Channel 4 broadcasting
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
