Jake Wardle

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

As someone who has eyes in their head, why the hell would we want him?

So very average at best.

If he was on our radar…defo wasn’t….we really would be struggling.

Hands like cows tits and permanently injured.
Cheap, experienced backup option who has captained a "top" SL side.

I wouldn't want him personally but those are the positives to getting him back.
I don't even know how concrete the interest ever is/was but its certainly not a signing id be onboard with, but it would kind of point towards us looking at Second Row back up as like I say I've got a feeling Isa could leave. would be a like for like back up replacement in the effect that when the squad is fully fit they wouldn't be getting a game. We've also lost Nicholson & McDonnell in that position

If French goes and especially now Tommy will retire, we would be on the lookout for a utility back?

Ashall Bott - good skill, promising talent but on the small side
Ryan Brierley - good skill, but on the small side
Gareth O'Brien - probably a safer bet
Tony Gigot - talent and temprament to go with it

I’d rather sign Tony Bennett than Tony Gigot, exactly the opposite of what we want at Wigan. He’s been absolute dog 💩 as well recently. I’d have Ashall Bott out of those but I think there’s better replacements for French than him. Also hughes deffo signed for Leigh, that’s come from my pal who is a current player there.

Brierley is about 6 feet tall.

None of those players will ever be Wigan standard.

Ashall-Bott is all about "potential" but he's already 24 with a LOT to work on...

O'brien is a good enough player but he does pick the injuries up
