Bateman is going to Wests and they've not announced his signing although Hastings has left. Perhaps they've not announced it due to Wigan asking them not to until his replacement signing is revealed.

If Bateman was marquee, then surely he'll be replaced given the club were prepared to pay his wages for next season. Owen Farrell only makes sense post 2023 RWC. So maybe a prop? Luke Thompson, JWH, Tom Burgess?

Surely we need to replace Bateman like for like? If we didn't, we would be a lot weaker at 2nd row.

Harvard’s a young enough player it could well work. Fit and athletic he’d make a good loose forward so why not a second rower

My sentiments exactly. What more do you want from a second row other than time on the pitch.

The reports about it all has randomly been taken down by the 2/3 websites reporting it earlier. Take that as you will. All a bit strange. If it’s not just all hot air I don’t want owen Farrell, I want a big savage prop or a second row to replace Bateman. Pryce is a good player but he’s not the finished product and we don’t need him at the moment. Fingers crossed the club announces it soon or just gives us the flaming squad numbers finally!
