Once again Wigan used to up his wages just like Shaun Edwards did with using the club its disgraceful but I for one am glad apart from his goal kicking i never saw anything special in him lacking pace for our game .   Bet his club feel like they have been had for April fools .

The size of the contract they're talking about in the papers isn't sustainable for union (never mind Super League) even if the owners are millionaires. If Danson is ever prepared to pay out such sums I'm sure he'd have the sense to only do so for top NRL talent of the quality that, at present. would not see the point of coming to the U.K. As other posters have said, the whole saga seems to have been a ploy by Faz's agent. I suppose we have to conclude that he's earn't his fee.

Been watching this for a while on RU sites. From around the time I was told we was in for him, at that point it seemed he would be offered less money than the 750k he was said to be on. Figures around 500k was mentioned. This as steadily increased over the time until now. Everytime it's been "he's expected to sign" but he hasn't.
If it is agents and himself playing teams off then I will be relieved if we don't get him . The only thing would make me welcome this would be if he's coming for what Wigan offered and the chance to fulfill a dream and the challenge.
I do believe 100% that this has been on the table and at points Wigan was told it was likely to happen, I still have no idea if it will but the latest articles was being muted in RU circles 3 months back and like most press I have no idea how true or dated it is.

Farrell quoted in today's Times talking about committing to another World Cup cycle in Rugby Union. He doesn't 100% explicitly say that but it sounds very much like a man who is not planning to jump ship to another code any time soon. Think we can firmly put this one to bed once and for all.
