Let’s be honest he’s probably got more chance of playing 13 than 9 anyhow.
It’s absolute criminal that he’s never had a far shot at the hooker role. I don’t care who this upsets, we’ve looked that bit more dynamic through the middle when he plays there. If O’Neil has anything about him he would ask for a move to another club
I agree. But he can play at loose 😊

Brad could turn out to be a good loose forward.
Why play someone out of position when they should be playing their original position in the first place
Our current hooker started off as a half back and look how thats turned out - oh yeh - I now see what you mean :)
Because he played as a loose forward.

He is predominantly a hooker though!

How’s about a ball playing forward ?
I can’t think of many who can slip a sublime pass. KKP could develop that way.

He is now. He has the ball handling skills, toughness and pace to be a good 13 in my view.

Too small for loose forward for me.
He’s a bit of growing to do yet.

Brad at loose forward is worth a shot, I did think he could play prop eventually and looks good just taking the ball up in the Academy/Reserves. Add in his sublime handling and yeh, why not. At the risk of getting off topic, there have been some examples of playing out of position and making the position their own (Hanley, Tomkins, Field, O'Loughlin)

Anyway, let’s keep this topic on Bateman & start another on who we would like to see at loose or dare I say hooker 😉

I know, I’m as guilty as anyone for going off topic 😳 but usually in reply to others 😊

Totally agree with keeping on topic but I couldn’t resist this. I m just watching the 1988 Warrington v Wigan on New Year’s Day.
Suggest son of Les Boyd if he has one
