TIM MANDER - A JOKE OF A REFEREE!

I thought Tim Mander had STINKER tonight. Two dubious penalties, and then a forward pass for their second last try, what on EARTH, was Mander, if not the touch judge looking at?!

On a positive note, I thought that Fielden was OUSTANDING, AGAIN tonight for GB. If he carries on performing for GB like he is currently doing, he will get man of the series.

I think that Mander's performance tonight was that bad, that it even made another referee's performances this year look good. The referee I am talking about is KARL KIRKPATRICK.

I think that Fielden should CERTAINLY get the man of the series. My man of the match by a mile tonight.

Disagree with Harris I thaught he was very sloppy. Senior and Wellens were also poor. My man of the match was Leon Pryce.

What about the constant offsides, markers not being square and laying on he allowed? Did you hear the boos all around the stadium? I sometimes wonder whether you say stuff you know if rubbish just to spark a discussion.

No i dont but i watched it and i think that he had a fantastic game, So what if idiots around the stadium let them boo him off . I mean come on would they of booed if GB would of won???? I somehow dont think so
I was just trying to point out that I am not alone in thinking he had a poor game.

Regardless of the boos though did his consistent lack of applying the rules not bother you? It was so messy to watch and awfully frustrating. Both teams had markers stood next to each other. How many times when we were on the attack did he let them get away with being offside? On many occassions there was a player stood right in front of him. Did it not annoy you when he made us wait on the 20 metre line until he and his fellow Australians were ready for us to take the tap?

Mander was pretty poor, yes, but we've seen just as bad displays from most, if not all, of the SL refs. I didn't think he was biased at all...their early 'try', which was ruled out for a knock-on/forward pass, was a marginal decision, and quite a few other 50/50 decisions went our way. It was a messy game, I agree, but he was equally lenient to both sides. The 20-metre restart rule is, apparently, the 'official' international rule..it's the SL that play it differently.
Can't blame the ref for what was, quite simply, a poor attacking performance, only alleviated by good defence from the forwards (Fielden in particular).

It really would be interesting to visit this unusual little world of yours. Did you not thik it was wierd how we got given penalties on our own line? We "lost the ball" but australia had it ripped out? The fact the australians had tackled us before we'd picked the ball up? He really was a disgrace. Neutral refs should be at all games and if australia dont like it they should bugger off home, they'll soon be back.

Oh Boy :D

Sorry folks but on this occasion I agree with Pie Eaters. Tim Mander had a reasonable game and is the number 1 referee in the world IMO

What are people upset about? The lying on, I think Ryles was guilty of but apart from him the rest of what you saw was just standard NRL practice. The NRL referees allow tackles to be completed (which they should) and take into account dominance and surrendering. By allowing tackles to be completed, they have time to focus upon getting teams back and a proper play of the ball takes place. Hence, the referee has little impact upon who wins the match and that was so at the JJB. We got beat by a better team, a better team that beats us repeatedly no matter who referees.

The frenetic uncontrolled SL tackle whereby defenders cannot complete tackles as referees scream at them to get off from impossible situations whilst ignoring a good 10 simply promoted a game based around scooting.

Pie Eaters is not always wrong

Although how he thinks Harris had a good game

harris, deacon and cunningham were all poor last night. thought higham played well when he came on. i think he could prove me wrong for next year. horne has to play next week so does calderwood as carney as hard as he did try last night just doesnt have the pace anymore.
