According to the press Wigan through Ian Riddoch are, I believe, hailing the switch to fridays a success before the season starts because season ticket sales are up 20% on this time last year.Do they/does he think we are thick? How many more could they have sold if things had stayed the same? (One extra from myself for a start).Answer - he/they doesn't know.Does the fact Wigan had a great season last time not have anything to do with the increase?Answer: They/he doesn't know.Does the fact Wigan have signed several world class players have anything to do with it?Answer: They/he does not know.So to come out with attributing the increase to the move to fridays, i.e. ONE factor is totally simplistic.I'd also love to know where this "only 20 cancelled" figure came from. Is that a net figure I wonder?Dave

Heard a rumour there may be a new appointment in the near future in the marketing/media area of the club. And the name being banded about is someone 100% against Friday night kick-offs, things might be about to get interesting down at the JJB!
