Re: Potential swap
Sao and Satae are off contract at Hull.
Re: Potential swap
Satae defo one to consider. His form hasn’t been as good this last 14-15 months but a move could re-energise him. I wouldn’t bother with Sao. He’s a good player but is very similar to Smithies, Shorrocks and Byrne (high energy in defence, decent ball carrier, can play long minutes but won’t punch holes) and I don’t think we need another of that style.

Re: Potential swap
Sam Eseh at Wakefield might be worth a look if Wakefield go down.

Re: Potential swap
Outs
KPP
Mago
Miski
Cust
Singleton
Silva
Cooper (I’ve not been overly impressed)
Offer Ellis a new deal, Isa another deal on squad player money.
In
NRL prop pack leader
JWH might fancies a few years in Europe to end his career seems to have build a good relationship with Wigan over the years ( WCCs, Madge night, close with Tommy etc)
Jordan McLean cowboys is off contract 6 foot 5 19 stone. Only got a one year extension with the cowboys so a 2/3 year deal could tempt.
(replacing Batemans and Coopers wage)
Tom Davies - pace, English, good ball carry, knows the club (replacing Cust wage)
Sam Eseh - project signing, looks a raw talent who could kick on in our system (replacing Silvas)
Owen Trout - young, English, tall athletic (replacing Singletons)
Chris Satae/ NRL prop impact prop off the bench (replacing Magos)
NRL back rower in the Mau’tatia Sironen type
Look at the offcontract list I’d look at Tariq Sims (bit old but played origin just last year, brothers came to SL, good stop gap)
Or Tyson Frizell always admired how he’s played but maybe been off the boil in recent years.
(Replacing KPP and Miski)
Toby King (probably another years loan then permanent after his contract expires)
French
Davies
King
Wardle
Marshall
Field
Smith
Byrne
Powell
JWH/McLean
Sims/Frizell
Farrell
Smithies
Havard
Satae/NRL prop
O’Neill
Ellis
Shorrocks
Trout
Isa
Thornley (keep as cover if he can stay fit this year)
Hampshire (see Thornley)
Hill
Nsemba
Astley
Eseh
Douglas
Eckersley
Forber
Think that’s realistic looking at salaries. Just about getting the right players from the NRL which is tricky.
Looks a serious squad with a good mix of youth and experience IMO.

Re: Potential swap
Didn’t Bevan re-sign after the semi final? It was announced then at least.
Bateman we have been told by the club was November/December - 2 months later

Re: Potential swap
On what? There’s been no one or outs since his departure and the club have said they are saving the salary as there is nobody of that calibre to panic signCharriots Offiah wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 2:08 pmBateman’s salary has already been used! The Pearl1 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 1:44 pm Outs
