Maybe Wigan don't really want him but have joined in with a high bid to get HKR to improve their bid even higher to get more money to help Salford out of their financial woes? 😉 😉

This is a strange situation, the player has created this narrative with his agent Harris. Salford do not need to sell Dupree, their community ownership scheme is flying and with 8 days left they will smash through the 250k initial target, over 220k now with 10K plus share pledges to come ASAP. The deal will only happen if Salford get cash plus a player. Will Wigan want to release a Byrne or Hill to get Dupree. He is a decent player and excellent prospect but Salford will only sell if a deal works for them, they do not need the cash - otherwise he'd have gone to KR 3 weeks ago if they were that desperate. Be interesting to see if he turns out v Hull, if he doesn't he is off.

What has happened for him suddenly wanting to be away from Salford? Didn’t he just sign an extension to his contract, & was happy to do so, at Salford? What has suddenly changed?

Did HKR go direct to Salford with an offer instead of his agent? Is that how it’s done, approach the the club & show an interest in a particular player instead of the other way round, the agent doing negotiations on behalf of his client?

Will he do the same to his next club wanting to break his contract early & being so vocal on social media about "wanting away"?

Is it worth having a player that disrupts a team?

He’s been selected to play against Hull.

£180k plus a loan player for the remainder of the season is what the rumour is this morning, I cant confirm that, but does make sense
