Can anybody let inform us about Harvie Makin please? I know he's a prop but seems very young and I'm assuming that there's not really any intention to play him this week. Does he seem likely to get any matches this season or in the near future?

I haven't seen much of him, he played well for Reserves v a strong Trinity Reserves in April.southportcdm wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2023 12:48 pm Can anybody let inform us about Harvie Makin please? He has played for Oldham at least once, unfortunately it was in the Challenge Cup.
He has played in the Academy this season so, yes he is a youngster, but he seems to have been fast tracked.

think the weather in theory should help us as youre traditionally less reliant on props in good weather as you can chuck it about more

That's true, but with numbers of props dwindling, warm weather can also mean we could do with big guys on the bench to rotate.Wigan_forever1985 wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 11:42 am think the weather in theory should help us as youre traditionally less reliant on props in good weather as you can chuck it about more

Mago doesn’t do much rotating.Blackpool_Pie wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 12:46 pmThat's true, but with numbers of props dwindling, warm weather can also mean we could do with big guys on the bench to rotate.Wigan_forever1985 wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 11:42 am think the weather in theory should help us as youre traditionally less reliant on props in good weather as you can chuck it about more

The 2 games against Leeds I thought he added some much needed punch down the middle. If anyone recalls I've been a big advocate of us leaving him out altogether for months - but we need his strong carries at the moment as our pack is looking very lightweightCharriots Offiah wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 2:02 pmMago doesn’t do much rotating.Blackpool_Pie wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 12:46 pmThat's true, but with numbers of props dwindling, warm weather can also mean we could do with big guys on the bench to rotate.Wigan_forever1985 wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 11:42 am think the weather in theory should help us as youre traditionally less reliant on props in good weather as you can chuck it about more
