6 again

I can't be the only one fed up with this ruling. It should definitely only be called on the 3rd 4th or 5th tackle. Getting a 6 again on the first tackle is absolutely pointless and is being utilised by some teams to slow the ruck area down

Agree with you I was saying this to my dad last week during the challenge cup.

Should be a penalty for slowing down if on the first tackle and then six again after that.

100% agree with this. 1st,2nd should be a penalty. Absolutely no benefit to the attacking team. St.helens do this alot

Do what the Aussies do - penalty in your own half, six again in the oppositions. The ruck is a complete mess.

I think the refs should take responsibility for the decision themselves and decide which call would benefit the team, 6 again or penalty.

So easy to fix. Yet they don't do anything.

Between the 20m lines happy for 6 six again calls, but inside the 20m zones it needs to be a penalty. Give you chance to clear your line or likewise in an attacking 20m the option to take 2 points with a penalty goal.

Agree that's the best option by far, but as said, even doing what the Aussies do do would be a simple improvement.

Could even be a call for if an attacking team gets a 6 again in the attacking 20 they have a split second option to take the penalty or play on with the 6 again ultimately giving the player with the ball and/or the dummy half the chance to call for a penalty or just keep playing
