The following player was handed a caution:
Oliver Russell (Huddersfield Giants) - Other Contrary Behaviour

Today’s meeting considered incidents from the weekend’s Betfred League One fixtures, as well as the Betfred Super League, because the League One Promotion Play-Offs start next Sunday (September 3) – so any suspensions would kick in immediately, with any challenges to be heard at this week’s independent Operational Rules Tribunal (Tuesday August 29).

The weekend’s Betfred Championship fixtures will be considered as normal at a meeting of the Match Review Panel on Thursday, with any suspensions delayed until the weekend of September 9-10, to allow players to challenge at next Tuesday’s Operational Rules Tribunal (September 5).

Another head scratcher from the disaplinary . Tomkins Knew what he was doing when he lifted his knee against Brad . There was a few other dubious tackles and punches made by Catalan players but no bans. Ellis banned again . It just doesn't add up

What did Ellis get a ban for?

He can't catch a break with the review panel.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

After a game like Wigan were involved in to pick out only Ellis for a ban is ludicrous. There appeared quite a few "Dangerous Contact" moments in that game. Good grief it was brutal!

From a club view point, how many props have we left for Salford on Friday?
I make it Cooper, Havard, Ellis, Dupree are out with Byrne doubtful, although I now think Liam will play.

I have one word for this ‘farcical’. If Wigan don’t challenge Kaide’s ban then they stupid.

Looking at the time during the match that the offences are noted the tackle by Ellis was 10 mins after Farrell's offence so looks like the tackle at 71:30 on the match clock. The Catalans player backs in to Ellis after initial contact by Byrne and KPP. The Catalans player gets up rubbing his neck after the PTB. Surely if you back into a tackle you are putting yourself at risk to some extent.

Leaves us with Mago, Hill and Reserves props, Reserves have a big game Saturday too so maybe recalls for Makin and Wilson from Barrow? Byrne should be able to play?
