French got a fine and KPP got a caution.

From Salford Partington and Brierly got fines.

Watkins and Partington also got a match each for separate offences and Vuniyayawa got 2 matches (2 x 1 match).

Wasn't really a dirty game so quite surprised.

Disciplinary news as Leeds Rhinos, Castleford Tigers, St Helens, Wigan Warriors among players charged

Leeds Rhinos, Castleford Tigers and Wakefield Trinity are among clubs to have a player charged following the latest Betfred Super League matches.

The match review panel issued 18 charges or cautions – to 15 different players – from round 24.

Six players were suspended, half of them from one club only three of the 12 top-flight sides were not hit.

Here’s the full list of Super League charges and cautions.

Bevan French (Wigan Warriors)
Grade B dangerous throw: £250 fine.

Olly Partington (Salford Red Devils)
Grade A dangerous throw: £250 fine; grade B high tackle: one-match penalty notice.

Ryan Brierley (Salford Red Devils)
Grade B other contrary behaviour (use of knees, tackler): £250 fine

Kallum Watkins (Salford Red Devils)
Grade B high tackle: one-match penalty notice.

King Vuniyayawa (Salford Red Devils)
Grade B high tackle: one-match penalty notice. Grade B dangerous contact: one-match penalty notice.

Chris McQueen (Huddersfield Giants)
Grade A dangerous contact: no further action.

George Williams (Warrington Wolves)
Grade A dangerous contact: no further action.

Jacob Miller (Castleford Tigers)
Grade C dangerous throw: one-match penalty notice

Jake Clifford (Hull FC)
Grade C other contrary behaviour (contact off the ball): one-match penalty notice

David Fusitu'a (Leeds Rhinos)
Grade A dangerous contact: no further action. Raising knees in tackle: caution.

Konrad Hurrell (St Helens)
Grade B dangerous contact: one-match penalty notice.

Eddie Battye (Wakefield Trinity)
Grade A dangerous contact: no further action.

Games gone soft if they are classing that French one as dangerous.

Brierley got a Grade B for use of knees in a tackle.
That was on Wardle when he scored.
The match officials should have awarded us a penalty for foul play whilst a player was scoring.
They all missed it, not good enough.

Should have been an 8 pointer and possible yellow. Think the Vuniyayawa should have been left where it was with a sin bin and Bevan's offence was a near perfect tackle as far as I could see.

i watched it umpteen times trying to work out what the clip had been shared for, and was watching the tackle

looks like he nearly touched the ref from the scrum as both he and the ref turned to follow the ball. If he'd have been banned for that (i cant fathom out why its even mentioned to be honest), then the game really has gone

i get that you cant touch a ref, but accidental clashes when you are following the ball, are just taking it way too far, especially at the pace that the game is being played

That's a bit disrepectful to the current players don't you think? Ask Scott Taylor if the "game's gone soft" as he's retiring to ensure his body still works enough to play with his kid. The players are stronger and fitter than ever, and the collisions are massive and higher impact than ever before - but because the rules have changed the "games gone soft". The rules changed every year back then (whenever "back then" was), just like they do now and you can guarantee the "game had gone soft" then too.
