Alex Walmsley
Well, supposedly out for the season after being tackled by John Asiata in the Challenge Cup semi final, has somehow made a super human recovery to be named in Friday’s St Helens squad v Hull FC!!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

he's got at best 2 or 3 games left this season, and a big gamble i think by Saints to get some impact out of him. it may backfire and he misses all the off season and start of next season.
Much like Havard / Byrne, if we try and play one of them, then the chance is they wont be fit for the start of next season

Byrne has no chance, we will have to wait and see about Havard. Isa will definitely be back.the pieman wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 2:47 pmagreed, he wont be fit, and also hadnt played particularly well this season anywayFirestarter wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 1:12 pmInjected up as saints tend to do.No need to bother ,he wont be fit so it will work in our favour if we face themjosie andrews wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 1:05 pm Well, supposedly out for the season after being tackled by John Asiata in the Challenge Cup semi final, has somehow made a super human recovery to be named in Friday’s St Helens squad v Hull FC!!

Not played a full game since April 23rd. He should only be "back" if we had 17 injured players
Not match fit enough to risk involvement at this point of the season.
Peet's made this mistake once before with Powell. Would speak volumes of him as a coach to repeat the mistake - especially when the risks outweigh the positives
Back by demand.

Re: Alex Walmsley
Isa allows rotation for kpp to do longer stints at prop considering we’ve got 3 out for the season. Hill and junior should not be doing long minutes in cut throat matches. I’m already very worried for the Leigh and possible semi final game with hill potentially getting targeted in defence.
