Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

John Bateman

Is it just me or did he look ordinary, he did his tackling but I can think of a few players i think would improve his place in the team. He is a poor image of the player he was at Wigan. Is there anyone who would want him back in our team next year if he wanted to return ?.

Didn't notice him much in the game at the weekend tbh, liked him in his prime but can't say I miss him now

No it isn't just you

I wasn't aware he was playing until about half way through the first half. Him and Whitehead are seriously past their best on the international stage now

they are past their bests, but they are still playing / performing weekly in the best league in the world, so its no coincidence that they are getting picked over players who are playing in SL

we are all aware that the challenge we have over here is to match the intensity weekly in our game, and not just Wigan v Saints / Wire etc, we need that for 27 rounds plus play offs

Hasn’t been the same player for years. Injuries could have made him lose confidence in the way he played, no backwards step full throttle .
Bet the tigers are gutted he’s the captain, guaranteed starter every week

To be fair, JB hasn’t played for some time.

I thought he played well today. John and Chris Hill were our best forwards.
