Super League fixtures emerge with one match subject to change

More details have emerged relating to the new Super League season.

Super League's opening two rounds of the season have been revealed, providing supporters with an early glimpse into the new campaign. Every club has announced its first home game of the season ahead of a full release of the fixture list on Thursday.

As revealed by Rugby League Live, the season will start on Thursday, February 15th with the Hull Derby, while Leeds Rhinos will host Salford Red Devils a day later in what is one of three matches to be staged that day. Super League newcomers, London Broncos, start the campaign with a daunting trip to St Helens, while Challenge Cup holders Leigh Leopards host Huddersfield Giants.

The round concludes with two games on Saturday. Wigan Warriors' defence of the Super League title begins with an away trip to Castleford Tigers, while Sam Burgess' Warrington Wolves head to France for a game against Grand Finalists, Catalans Dragons.

In round two, Hull KR will open the round once again when they take on the Rhinos at Craven Park on Thursday, February 22nd. There will be two games on the Friday, with London hosting Catalans and the Wire entertaining Hull FC. On Saturday, February 24th, Huddersfield Giants take on St Helens while Wigan are scheduled to face local rivals Leigh Leopards, though that is subject to change depending on World Club Challenge plans. The round concludes with Salford Red Devils taking on Castleford Tigers.

Good Friday, March 29th, will see the two big derby games take place, with St Helens hosting Wigan and Hull KR battling it out against the Black and Whites. Rivals Round will also see Warrington face Catalans, Salford play Leigh and London host Huddersfield.
