Robin Park Music Series

Post by josie andrews »

Wigan Warriors are proud to be hosting a five-night Music Series in July 2024, which will see Richard Ashcroft, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, James Arthur and The Lathums perform at Robin Park Arena.

Wigan has a long, illustrious music history, and in 2024, the next chapter will be written with a huge outdoor concert series – featuring some of the UK’s most beloved and acclaimed live acts – to be held at the Club’s training facility.

The first of five nights will be opened on Wednesday 17 July by 2012 X-Factor winner James Arthur, who has since become one of the world’s biggest streaming artists with more than 38 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone.

The Middlesborough-born artist, who has already sold out a string of shows on his Bitter Sweet Love World Tour, has scored four Top 10 albums, and over his career has collaborated with the likes of Anne-Marie, Sigala, Rudimental, Marshmello and many more.

James, who will be joined on the night by special guests Gabrielle and Scouting For Girls, will be followed by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds who will headline Robin Park on Thursday 18 July – special guests to be confirmed.

Following a successful 2023, which has already seen the release of the highly anticipated and critically acclaimed fourth studio album, ‘Council Skies’, the band will rock Robin Park Arena ahead of a sold-out homecoming gig at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park on August Bank Holiday weekend.

Wigan’s own The Lathums will play their biggest headline show to date in an emotional and celebratory homecoming on Friday 19 July, which will see the band loudly and proudly play the songs of hope and heartbreak that have filled two chart-topping albums.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
