WCC vs Penrith match thread

So we now know Leeming is fit to play. Smith and Ellis won't be banned.

Players out: Thompson, Walters, Nsemba, Havard.

Predicted lineup

Field
Miski
Keighran
Wardle
Marshall

French
Smith

Cooper
ONeil
Byrne
Isa
Farrell
Ellis

Interchange: Leeming Mago Dupree Hill

I must admit this is as excited as I've been for a game like this for a long time. First time I've known a game to sell out months before. Hoping for a great atmosphere and a great game. I think Penrith are really coming at us for this game after being embarrassed by Saints last season. Its a massive shame that both Walters and Thompson are out because i think they would really give us a bit of an edge. How is everyone feeling about this game?

Very excited 😆 and hopefully it will be drier than what it is today!! ☔️☔️☔️
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

It was stair rods this morning at 5am, much like at Castleford on Saturday!

Would you not feel more confident if it was heavy rain? Introduce penrith players to good old British wet weather rugby.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I don't see this being far off at all.

Nah, we're a dry weather team. Ball movement and pace is what we're all about I reckon.

There has been talk the past couple of years that Penrith really struggle in the wet and they’ve lost a good few of those games but I don’t think we’re always crash hot in the wet either. I think a dry track will give the best occasion anyway so happy if the forecast is accurate.

Anything special planned? I think we will head over early and maybe nip into town before hand, Been 33 years since I've been in the town centre, ( they'd only finished the Galleries a couple of years earlier! ) need to see Billy's statue.
