Been told its opening at 3pm 😊
Good stuff which stands are the new ibeer machines in josie? And how much is a pint?
I've seen they have some in the East and it appears to be Madri so expect it to be around 5 pounds possibly more. As far as I'm aware their are 3 at each end of the stand so not a huge amount but hopefully if they go off without a hitch, it'll mean less queues. However technology doesn't always go off without a hitch
Cheers bp im in the east stand and its always a mare queuing for a pint

I've been to many many grounds watching several sports and their are only maybe 3 or 4 where getting a pint isn't an ordeal. The vast majority of grounds have kids running the bars who don't seem to really know much about what they're doing

They should fit pipes to our seats so we can self-serve from our seats.

the biggest irony is that we have the ability to serve 8 pints at a time (or they used to be there) but we insist on pouring 1, and then the next, so have a big queue

get 1 person pulling 8 pints to half way and then top up, if they insist on pulling them individually

i've been to the cricket a few times, and they turn the crowds round with virtually no queues, but they are constantly pumping the pints in bulk and passing them over

No idea but see that BP has answered your question 😊🍺
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Anything special planned? I think we will head over early and maybe nip into town before hand, Been 33 years since I've been in the town centre, ( they'd only finished the Galleries a couple of years earlier! ) need to see Billy's statue.
If you want a pint couple of decent pubs you can nip into
Royal Oak on Wigan Lane
Wigan Central
Tap N Barrel (near bus station)
Symposium (Mesnes St)
I like the one near to Billy's statue. John Bull is it? Mainly in summer when you can sit outside on the grass.
