Been told its opening at 3pm 😊
Anything special planned? I think we will head over early and maybe nip into town before hand, Been 33 years since I've been in the town centre, ( they'd only finished the Galleries a couple of years earlier! ) need to see Billy's statue.

Good job you got to see the Galleries back then, because they've gone now!

You won’t see much in Wigan Town Centre these days, Billy’s statue being the exception, it’s rubbish! Not been in the centre itself since the end of Covid nearest I go is the Thomas Linacre Centre 😂😂
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I'll be at my 5th WCC with my son who was 10 when we beat Manly, his wife from Perthshire, and my granddaughter Sophie who is 10 now. This will be her first WCC and only her 5th live game. She'll be devastated if we lose - here's hoping she comes home happy!

If you want a pint couple of decent pubs you can nip into
Royal Oak on Wigan Lane
Wigan Central
Tap N Barrel (near bus station)
Symposium (Mesnes St)

I've seen they have some in the East and it appears to be Madri so expect it to be around 5 pounds possibly more. As far as I'm aware their are 3 at each end of the stand so not a huge amount but hopefully if they go off without a hitch, it'll mean less queues. However technology doesn't always go off without a hitch
