A celebration of Rugby League Cares

Post by josie andrews »

CLUB CHAIRMAN, PROFESSOR CHRIS BROOKES AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE KRIS RADLINSKI VISITED THE HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT ON TUESDAY EVENING ALONGSIDE PRESIDENT OF THE RFL, SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF COMMONS SIR LINDSAY HOYLE AND NUMEROUS MEMBERS OF THE RUGBY LEAGUE COMMUNITY.

The evening celebrated the great work of Rugby League Cares and the World class health programmes and positive difference they make to the lives of people in Rugby League Communities.

Wigan Warriors Chief Executive Kris Radlinski addressed the crowd on the evening alongside CEO of Penrith Panthers, Matthew Cameron ahead of a sold out Betfred World Club Challenge on Saturday evening, which is certain to bring the Rugby League family together to witness a fantastic occasion.

Chief Executive, Kris Radlinski, said: “Being invited to the Speaker’s residence in the House of Parliament in London was an incredibly memorable moment. Throughout my Rugby League journey, I’ve been fortunate to visit many extraordinary places, but this experience undoubtedly ranks among the most special.

“Sharing a space filled with individuals united to applaud the impactful work of Rugby League Cares was truly significant. This charity’s dedication to prioritizing the well-being of both current and future players through meaningful initiatives is commendable.”

He added: “Also, having the chance to speak on stage with Matthew Cameron, CEO of Penrith Panthers, about the game ahead on Saturday night was an added highlight.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
