2024 fixtures

Post by Brennox7 »

A bit premature I know, but can anyone tell me why 6 of our first 8 SL games are away?

Surely not? Is this to do with the togger? For some teams playing 6 from your first 8 can be a massive challenge for form!

Pitch reseeding ….. at the start of the season????

Ten of the first fourteen games are away!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

there will be no pitch reseeding while Latics are playing. Early May is a likely time for the renovation of the pitch. It's all decent pitches that have this done, not just us. Same for golf courses, bowling greens etc.

The period 3 may until 21 june doesn't have us at home. That will be pitch reno time.

Who so many initially I have no idea.

Reading the fixture list .

The first half of the season 4 home matches and 10 away matches.

The second half of the season 10 home matches and 4 away matches.

I know we have have our annual pitch maintenance month but this seams more unbalanced than usual.

Think several of us commented on this when the fixtures were announced 😕

We did and the biggest problem for me is that the momentum to build a bigger fan base after the WCC and the brilliant initiative of £5 tickets for the Huddersfield game will be lost.
