Makin joins London on loan

* Harvey Makin joins Super League side London Broncos on a month loan.

* 20-year-old has spent a month on loan at Barrow.

* John Duffy: “London will provide an opportunity for that next step up.”

YOUNG PROP FORWARD HARVEY MAKIN WILL JOIN LONDON BRONCOS ON A MONTH-LONG LOAN.

The former St Jude’s junior has spent time out on loan with Championship side Barrow Raiders where he has gained invaluable experience under head coach Paul Carey.

The 20-year-old will now link up with the Broncos which will present him with an opportunity to play some minutes at Super League level.

Transition Coach, John Duffy said: “Harvey has spent around a month with Championship side Barrow, and we would like to put on record our thanks to them for assisting in his journey and development.

“London will provide an opportunity for that next step up which we feel Harvey is up to and we look forward to seeing him develop playing at Super League level.“

Tom Forber joins Barrow on two-week deal

* Tom Forber joins Barrow Raiders on loan.

* Hooker to link up with Cumbrian side on initial two-week deal.

* Transition Coach, John Duffy: “It’s another opportunity for Tom to gain valuable game time.”

TOM FORBER WILL THIS WEEK JOIN BARROW RAIDERS ON LOAN.

The initial 2-week deal will see the hooker link up with the Cumbrian outfit in a bid to gain some valuable minutes on the field.

The 20-year-old was one of seven players to make his Super League debut for the Warriors at Craven Park in 2022 and has made a further two appearances so far in 2023.

The Rylands junior has already spent time on loan at Oldham, Wakefield and Widnes.

Transition Coach John Duffy said: “This is another opportunity for Tom to gain some valuable time on the field at a good level.

“Tom has continued to impress us with his attitude and application so far this year and we look forward to seeing Tom play and continue his development.”

Great opportunity for Makin.
Good that Forber will be playing at a decent level too.
