Pre-match Quotes

Speaking to wiganwarriors.com ahead of the game, Head Coach Denis Betts said: “We know that Cardiff are a better side than they showed on Sunday. They do some good things and if it had been a dry day then it might have been a different game. I thought we handled the conditions better, we also didn’t have the travelling to contend with but I thought in the first half it was probably the best we’d been with the ball so far this season, even in the horrendous conditions.”

Anna Davies also spoke ahead of the game, the Centre said: “It is strange playing the same team just six-days later and how we approach that psychologically. There’s not too many things that you can change in six-days but we know they’ll be motivated after last week.

“We’re just thinking about remaining competitive, last week we showed what we can do and that has to be the standard now and we will look to better that this week. For us, the focus is on ourselves.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
