Pre-Match Quotes

Speaking ahead of the historic event, Denis Betts said: “When the news came out that it was going to be a double-header at the DW Stadium, it was exciting for the girls. It’s going to be a great occasion – to be able to play on our home ground for the first time, in front of a decent crowd and with the Men to follow us afterwards.”

Vice-Captain Rachel Thompson also had her say on the event: “It’s a massive occasion, it’ll be emotional and it’s something that all the girls are really looking forward to this week. It is just another game and our first Super League game of the year, but it is extra special to be able to walk-out at the DW Stadium for the first time.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
