Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final details confirmed

Post by josie andrews »

THE KICK-OFF OF THE BETFRED WHEELCHAIR CHALLENGE CUP FINAL BETWEEN CATALANS DRAGONS AND WIGAN WARRIORS ON SATURDAY JUNE 1 WILL KICK-OFF AT 1:30PM.

Wigan Warriors are in Betfred Super League Round 13 action at Warrington Wolves on June 1, kicking off at 3pm – a dress rehearsal for the Betfred Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium seven days later.

The Warriors Wheelchair team, who won the Betfred Wheelchair Super League for the first time last season, have now reached the Challenge Cup Final for the first time after a hard-earned 34-20 win against Leeds Rhinos last weekend.

RL Commercial is grateful to BBC Sport, who will again be providing live and exclusive coverage of all three Betfred Challenge Cup Finals over consecutive Saturdays – Men, Women’s and Wheelchair – for agreeing to an earlier kick-off at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, allowing more Wigan Warriors and Rugby League fans to watch more of both matches.

Tickets, priced just £11, are on sale now Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final 2024 – MyProVenue™ (tickets.com).

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Gutted can’t get to this CC Final as we’ve attended quite a few of the wheelchair games so far this season

The amount of games that have overlapped this season is ridiculous.

The Women’s game v Warrington at Victoria Park on Saturday has now been moved to the Halliwell Jones as part of a double header with the Academy game following later.

The week after though, Saturday 1st June, the first team play Warrington at the Halliwell Jones with a KO at 3pm. Meanwhile at a 12pm KO, the Reserves play at Victoria Park! Why could this not have been a curtain raiser at the Halliwell Jones?
