The Leopards are said to be taking an away following double that of Warrington Wolves.

Catalans Dragons are refusing to sell any further tickets to Leigh Leopards supporters because they're worried their home match will feel like an away game. The Leopards head to Perpignan on Saturday looking for a much-needed victory on their quest for the play-offs, and they'll arrive to one of the biggest away followings the Dragons have hosted.

Leigh will have 1,500 of their supporters at Stade Gilbert Brutus this Saturday as Adrian Lam's side looks to triumph against the Dragons. It's a turnout that has taken Catalans officials by surprise, to a point where they have decided to no longer sell tickets to the Leigh club.

"The club has no choice," the club's Commercial Director, Christophe Lévy told L'Independant. "If we continue, we will be invaded and we don't want to have the feeling of playing away. It's an important match, we especially need the supporters to support our Dracs

He added: "In the middle of June, this match is obviously full of English people but this is unheard of, we have already sold 1,500 tickets at the club, that's twice as much as for Warrington. It's over, If supporters want tickets, they will have to be taken at the ticket counters, if there are any left."

It's an important game for both teams, with Leigh battling a race against time to cut the gap between themselves and the top six. They are currently seven points adrift with 14 games to play. Meanwhile, the Catalans now find a four-point gap between themselves and league leaders St Helens, a margin they will try to bridge in the coming weeks.

Definatley a wee club mentality . Superleague gave them the chance to expand the game and now they are throwing it back in their faces. If they do that against Wigan there will be murder as everything points to a massive Wigan following in Perpignan

Its pretty obviously a ploy to get more home fans IMO. And good on them. Lets get their crowds up to 15K per week with a siege mentality.

The stadium has a capacity of 13000. Is 1500 away fans really too many? Are French fans really being denied seats?

Nah, they're just trying to get them to come by saying if they don't they'll be outnumbered at home...

Not a good look, is it? Good job they're never expected to host 5-6k Saints fans on a Good Friday!

Leigh only had the corner of the stand we usually fill. Just a ploy to sell more home tickets.
