Brad defo ups a gear for the leigh games( good lad).moan of the match goes to lam who just cant stop whingeing and needs concentrate on his own game. Also hanley who gives it big when he gets tackled but loves a voluntary tackle or three.if you fall on the floor dont complain when you get picked up.Pity odonnell is going back to aus as ide love him at wigan( belting player.Oh and final note, what a truly fantastic finish off marshy( what a complete winger this lad is)
This may be the reason why Hanley got some grief tonight.

Exactly! Here is Matt Peet’s view;

Leigh Leopards star’s pre-match comments helped fuel Wigan Warriors motivation ahead of Battle of the Borough

Wigan head coach Matt Peet hinted pre-match comments made by former Warriors player Umyla Hanley helped fire his side up to extend their Betfred Super League lead with a 24-6 win over Leigh Leopards.
Hanley, son of rugby league superstar Ellery, had claimed "we know we're better than them," as he prepared to face his old side after leaving the club 15 months ago.

"It's just doing my job for me really," said Peet. "It's just experience - I'm guessing his coach and team-mates might have had a word with him.

"He’ll learn. He’s a good player and a good person.

“I'd imagine if he had his time again he wouldn't say that."

The reigning champions extended their unbeaten run to nine in all competitions following the latest Battle of the Borough victory, with superstar Bevan French bagging two tries either side of half time, while prolific try-scorer and in-form winger Liam Marshall added his 17th of the Super League campaign with an acrobatic finish in the second 40.

Captain Liam Farrell concluded the scoring on the full-time hooter as the Warriors made it four points clear at the top of the Super League table with rivals St Helens up next, while veteran prop Mike Cooper will miss next Friday’s clash after failing his head injury assessment.

"We came up against a really determined team who were determined to play and it was a challenge," Peet added.

"There were a lot of tests out there for us today and I think we delivered. As long as the lads can continue to look after one another and battle for one another, they'll be OK.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Wardle, what can i say, he's in the conversation for the best centre I've seen at Wigan. Once smith floats him those two passes I'm almost certain he's going to waltz through and he goes and does it. So silky!. His first year he didn't get enough opportunities to attack but he was totally solid and now he's getting a chance to show what he can do and it's world class.

Oh and Marshall - I assume its the painkillers for his op that stops Wane selecting him for GB? (I hope Shaun's recovering well). What a play - he's stretching just to get the ball back in the field he's that far up and out. Amazing.

And bevan... No need to be talk about bevan, because he done it all and he's doing it again

And the defence!

And the whole team! Just wow.

For sure, and it was a more nuggety performance, Leigh put some aggressive stuff his way but he more than handled it.

Looking at the Saints team I can only assume they rested players with a view to next week’s game.
Yeh, some are genuine injuries and the players may be ready next week but they could have rested a few and hoped to scrape a win. They will be desperate next week - looking forward to it.

Agree with all the comments about last night's performance. Best SL game I've seen this season.

My concern before last night was about Farriminds defence, purely due to his size, however his tackle in Moylan when he lifted him of his feet and put him on his back was my highlight of the night. Moylan certainly didn't like it :D

Only gripe from last night was Leigh's constant milking penalties and arm waving. Concerned we will have a few banned for next week.

I think, even though it was one of the best tackles of the year, the O'Neill tackle will probably get Cullen's interest and earn him a ban, especially as wanky Warrington need us to loose points for them to try and catch us.
Be interesting if he does get banned as to who plays hooker.

Absolutely. Best centre in Super League at the moment.

I was going to say that it was comically refereed but I suspect we won't be amused when Paul Cullen seizes his chance and bans O'Neill for a couple of games. It simply wasn't a 'tip-tackle' as Moore indicated. The player was tackled chest-on and lifted his own legs without any Wigan player giving 'assistance.'
Leigh's try should have been disallowed on the pitch by a competent ref and certainly picked up by Thaler. As the man playing the ball completes the 'heel' - he moves deliberately sideways to block Farrell from making a tackle. Dwyer scoots straight through. Granted we should have stopped him touching down but for a ref to miss that obvious block was all too typical.
I loved Wardle's excellence; French's genius and Marshall's fantastic try capping an all-round performance and I thought everyone played really well.
Sadly, the main thing I'll remember is Lam's coaching of his team to whinge endlessly (nice work son Lachlan with a special mention for Dwyer); to dive claiming off the ball late hits (everyone); the targeting of Farrimond (didn't work to his great credit) and the all-round shithousery that is the last thing anyone should want to see in RL.
I hope Josh Charnley isn't too badly hurt and that Lam works out if he'd spent less time on the above and more time on the training-ground on what to do for the last tackle, Leigh might have got a better result.
Horrible team!

Something that is creeping into the game more, it was even noticable in the Reserves game last week.

Fantastic game though :D
