Following Friday's win against St Helens SKY's Jenna Brooks asked Matty Peet if he thought the win would mean we had one hand on the League Leaders Shield. MP replied "NO". that he didn't think that then he elaborated.

What could have an effect on our chances of winning the Trophy are results of our nearest rivals on the League Table.
This weekend Saints are at home to Warrington, Leeds home to HKR and Cas home to Catalans.

Should we win at Hull FC it moves us to 30 points on the table.
If Saints beat Wire then Saints go to 24 points and Warrington stay on 24.
Leeds having had a week training with their new coach will be real opposition for HKR who are far from as good away than at home. A Leeds win will give them 20 points and HKR would remain on 24.
A Catalans win at Cas would put them on 24 points.

With that possible scenario we could, by the end of the weekend, have 30 points. That puts us 6 points ahead of our nearest rivals with the game in hand.

Results of our rivals will always affect our standing. I just feel this weekend could see a real gap opening on the League Table really enhancing our chances of the LLS.

I think Warrington will be too strong for Saints, Friday’s derby will have taken a lot out of them. If that is the case then expect the Saints faithful to turn on Wellens again. I think the Wigan v Wire fixture is the most pivotal of the season now.

Yes I think so too.

Which is why the disciplinary panel should not have ex players on board! Especially Cullen!!
He tried to do us with the CC banning two of our players with ridiculous size bans. He has a penchant for banning particular players who play for Wigan. Ellis in his first year, now we have Keighran.

I can’t remember Keighran getting banned for Catalan on a regular basis like he has while he has been at Wigan.

Prime example of Cullen being in charge, is the NO ban for Williams.
Having just watched the incident again, he stops a try scoring opportunity, by going high arrround the head of Martin. Result a sin-bin, but NO further action for a reckless high tackle.
Surprising that he has not been banned, with the Stains match this week :x
