Better in the middle than tinkering from the video booth IMHO.

What was that old music hall song? Don't have any more Mrs Moore. Two Moores in quick succession is more than enough so can we have that nice young Mr Rust back please soon?

I'll continue to say, I don't think a Wigan ref for a Wigan home fixture, especially a local derby, is a good look, and I don't understand why they persist with it. Obviously, it puts further pressure on the officials.

A third of full time SL referees are from Wigan with another one very local!
Steve Ganson got the refereeing system changed as he was from St Helens & at that particular time he never got selected for any semi or finals because saints were playing in those big games.
You’re questioning a referee’s integrity if you’re saying coming from the same area will question their bias.

You’re questioning a referee’s integrity if you’re saying coming from the same area will question their bias.
It gives the opponents more chance to moan about the Ref being from Wigan when they get some dodgy decisions, so I think they tend to be more lenient towards the other team.
Plus he was the idiot in the booth at Wembely, who instructed Kendall to sin-bin Cooper, for someone falling at his feet.

A performance (which made no difference to the score) that could only be described as 'random.'
A penalty for a flop followed by nothing at all although they were regular. A penalty for not standing square after 75 minutes when it had been going on all match. The list is endless.
But if anyone wants to see what a tip-tackle really looks like then Dufty gave a textbook example on Marshall. Should it have been a red card? Of course. Will Dufty get banned? Of course not.
Moore's mime show that there was mitigation because Marshall landed on his shoulder would have been laughable if it hadn't been so dangerous. At the very last moment, Marshall, realising that his head was about to crash into the ground, moved it a fraction. His head still struck the ground along with his shoulder but his reflex action was credited to Dufty, meaning a yellow card and not a red! Moore should be stood down for that but he won't be.

I'd be interested on folks opinions on Dufty striking Walters with the ball, direct contact to the head?
