Any club would do the same in their situation.

The issue is with the rules, not Castleford.

I agree. The rules are imperfect but then again that applies to SL in general.

I don't see it as gaming the system. Surely the whole point of IMG's grading is to focus clubs' minds on meeting the targets? If Daley Thompson was told he needs to do a long jump over 25 feet to win a decathlon, he'd presumably try to do it?
