Leigh v KR ref

Just watched the short clip on Warriors TV

1st 2 tries both have a kick chaser clearly offside on the inside of the kicker (good couple of yards), and that player challenges both kicks which lead to tries

why is the ref 1 not calling them offside when it was very clear they are or 2 checking with the VR as they weren't just within 10m, but influencing the outcome of the play

at a time when we've seen players called for offside just because they are within the 10m (but not really impacting play) surely the ref should be looking at it

It's a slippery slope, if we start to review everything in play, not directly leading to a try, the game will end up being more like American Football there will be that many stoppages.

i agree re checking everything

but the 2 incidents both led to tries, and the player was clearly in an offside position and influenced play as they challenged the Leigh player to take the high kick, so my point was why did the ref not check, when in virtually every game this season, if a kick goes up, they will check for onside / offside, if its challenged and a try is scored
