JAI FIELD AND BEVAN FRENCH HAVE PRAISED THE LAS VEGAS TRAINING FACILITIES AS THE WARRIORS PREPARE TO TAKE ON WARRINGTON WOLVES.
Wigan and Warrington will contest the first Betfred Super League fixture to be played in the United States at the Allegiant Stadium this Saturday.
Having arrived in the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World on Monday evening, Matt Peet’s side trained at the UFC Performance Institute before their preparations continued out on the field.
Praising the training environment, French said: “It’s a real eye-opener being in a new environment, but the facilities here are wonderful. Some of our boys are big UFC fans and it’s been a pleasure training in the same place as many other wonderful athletes.
“We started with a light session on Tuesday after a long flight, but the pace has definitely picked up. The intensity will continue to increase as we lead into the match.”
On Las Vegas, French added: “I’ve loved the experience so far. You can see why so many people come to visit as there’s so much to do. The city itself is very aesthetically pleasing will all the new buildings, modern facilitates and an incredible stadium.”
Sharing the positivity, Field added: “Sometimes as players we don’t fully understand just how much planning goes on behind the scenes. We’ve had the chance to look around Vegas and to get our bearings, but now we’re ready to get out on the training pitch as we work towards Saturday.”
Looking ahead to playing at the Allegiant Stadium, Field said: “The stadium looks unreal. I’ve watched a lot of NFL games that have bee played there as well as the two NRL matches in Vegas last season. We are all excited to get out there and experience playing at the stadium ourselves.”
