Disciplinary from Vegas
Liam Byrne no charge
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Disciplinary from Vegas
i was on the Wire RLFans forum earlier - all calling for him to be sent off / banned when posting during the game. I didnt see the tackle as i'd gone sorting our drinks out

Lots of bitterness initially, then the realisation, that Wigan were far superior in every aspect

Re: Disciplinary from Vegas
I watched the game at home & I shouted at that tackle that Fitzgibbon turned as he was being tackled there was no way that Byrne could do anything.
I thought he overreacted on the floor but got up & continued to play as if there was nowt up with him. Think he got off without being sent for a HIA !

Should we expect an apology from Sam Burgess now?josie andrews wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 2:50 pm I watched the game at home & I shouted at that tackle that Fitzgibbon turned as he was being tackled there was no way that Byrne could do anything.

I know Farrell always turns and backs up into a tackle, but have we reached a point whereby the refs need to call held if the player starts backing up and doesn’t attempt to offload.

I say the same every time Faz does it as well, it’s so dangerous. Different if the defending player turns the attacking player, but as you say the ref should shout ’held’ as soon as they see it happening.Jonathon Kerr (JK) wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 4:19 pm I know Farrell always turns and backs up into a tackle, but have we reached a point whereby the refs need to call held if the player starts backing up and doesn’t attempt to offload.

Re: Disciplinary from Vegas
Only saw it on a replay but the guy clearly caused it him self by turning and falling over
Re: Disciplinary from Vegas
Isn’t that 1 point a carryover from last season as I think he had a caution in the last month or so of the season, which gives him a 1 point total now.
If anyone knows more because it says “charge not applicable” in the minutes ?
