Leeds Rhinos CEO Gary Hetherington is reportedly set to step down from his lengthy association with the club to take up a similar role heading up Championship side London Broncos.

That is according to Forty20 magazine, who say that Hetherington will become the executive chairman of the Broncos when he leaves his role at Leeds later this year.

It's an odd thread that talks about 'an icon taking over' at Leeds, but doesn't say who that icon is.

This looks much more like GH looking to get in with NRL involvement in SL early doors to me.

That’s what I thought mate

GH did this previously when Gateshead Thunder were owned by his wife. If my memory serves me correctly he had fingers in the pie of around 6 other clubs at one point giving him enormous voting power when it came to matters like we are currently seeing
